Look at the bug! He can run, run, run. He is in the sun. He is a hot bug.
Dad is with the bug. "Can you see the bug?" his dad said. "It is a big bug!" The bug is on the red mat.
Focus Words in This Story:

Reading Tips:
Point and Read: Encourage the child to point to each word as they read to build one-to-one correspondence.
Sound it Out: For words like b-u-g or m-a-t, have them "tap" each sound on their fingers before blending them together.
Find the Sight Words: Ask the child to go back and circle the sight words (like "the" or "see") in different colors.
